Decorating Tips and Ideas for Your Home:
Grouping in Home Decorating

My First Decorating Tip is for a Grouping.

A Grouping can be any group of Items in your home that

1.) you love to collect or

2. a Grouping such as "grouping" of furniture placed in different areas of a room that you have in your home.

I have included for your convenience an example of a grouping that I have put together for you as an example of how you could use a grouping to decorate your home.

I have chosen an Art Gallery Framed Canvas Print-that is 14 x 16 in size, but you may use any favorite art print you have that you are particularly fond of.

I have chosen the Art print as my focal point & am going to be "pulling" colors from the art print to use in my Grouping theme.

Because there is only a little bit of Yellow in this art Print I have chosen a Yellow Daisy/ Hydrangea Swag- Most swags you can purchase at gift stores or crafts stores for a relatively low cost. I have also included in this grouping a clock that is of the Old World style clock- as well as a doily.

You will also need a shelf if you have one for your wall or you may use a dresser as your shelf . I placed the Doily on the shelf underneath the art print, and placed the Floral swag on top of the Doily.

Your Artprint may be centered at eye level for viewing as mine is. I have set the clock to the left side of the print. This also adds contrast to your Grouping- so you have a lot of fun different textures that you can work with in your grouping.

This grouping would look well in any bedroom, library, den or Family room in your home. I love to collect clocks, Pottery, art prints, and old family photos that I can use in groupings as well.

For next months decorating tip I will be using a Black handled Iron Basket, some greenery & florals.
