Kids Bathroom Organization Ideas
In order to keep your child's bathroom organized and clean it is important to only keep what is needed in there and to teach the children to put everything back in it's place. Make a plan: Decide on what is going to be needed and used and the bathroom and then create a plan for organization.
Shampoo, bubble bath, soaps and those types of things would be great stored in a plastic bucket. It can be stored on a bathroom self, in a cupboard or on the back of the toilet. You can also purchase racks that can be used to hold bathtub toiletries and can be attached to the wall at proper height with suction cups.
Kid's love toys in the bathtub and it is always a good incentive for getting a bag, but they can make quite a mess when they are strewn across the bathroom. A good solution is to use a mesh bag that the toys can be placed in and then hung up to dry. Of course no matter how well they drip dry there is always going to be moisture in them so it's good practice to occasionally soak the mesh bag and even the toys in some bleach water, and always rinse very well before putting them back into the bathroom. If you don't have a lot of room, you can always limit the number of toys to only a few. Have different groups of toys that you can store and then rotate them as the kids become bored with the ones they are currently playing with.
You may need somewhere to store your towels and washcloths. This is no problem if you get some hooks or a rack to hang on the door. Then you can assign each child their own spot where they can place there towels. If each child has their own set of towels with their initials or a favorite character is also a great way to make them feel special. Another advantage to this is that as parents we can also see who is actually taking care of things they should be doing. Don't keep all your towels and washcloths in the bathroom, store them in another closet where they can be retreived when needed. Store only one or two sets in the bathroom.
You can get counter top organizers that will hold kids toothbrush, dentail floss, and more all in one place. Look for toothpaste tubes and pumps that offer the least amount of mess.
